In development
Write together, season by season.
The Writing Seasons is a calm, shared space for writers who miss the rush of a yearly challenge but want something steadier. Three challenges a year. A limited set of tools to share the experience without sharing the whole draft.
Join the first season
While The Writing Seasons is in development we're keeping the group small — the first 2000 writers. It's built around North American time zones for now, but anyone is welcome to write with us.
Progress stats
Opt in to share your word count and see how the community is pacing. Anonymous aggregates, no leaderboards that shame.
Shared sprint timers
The Sprint Room runs on one shared clock. Everyone sees the same sprint, the same break, the same gentle nudge to move and drink water.
Streamer board
Writers post upcoming live streams, co-working sessions, and sprints. A user-populated board to find company while you write.
Three challenges a year
Winter, Summer, and Autumn sessions. Each has a month to prepare, a month to write, a season to rest, and a month to revise. No one challenge is the whole year — the rhythm is built in.
- Winter Session— January · February · March · April
- Summer Session— May · June · July · August
- Autumn Session— September · October · November · December
Celebrating winners
Hit your goal and the season marks it. Winners are celebrated quietly but clearly — a small brass badge for the writers who cross the finish line.
Shared, but limited
This is not a workshop or a publishing platform. It is a place to keep each other company, track progress, and feel part of a season. Your draft stays yours.
The Writing Seasons is still being shaped. Some features may shift, but the core idea is set: a gentle, communal writing year with room to rest.
